Printing & Proof Checklist
Let’s make sure your print job is picture-perfect before it hits the press!
Final Check Before We Print:
Are all pages included in the correct order?
Are the page sizes correct?
Do bleeds extend properly beyond the trim marks?
Are all photos and graphics included, placed properly, and high resolution?
Are any photos cropped properly and facing the right way?
Is everything (logos, images, text) crisp and clear with good contrast?
Are all fonts correct and fully visible (no cut-off or missing text)?
Is the text aligned, easy to read, and free of double spaces?
Are margins and layout consistent across pages?
Is all text far enough from the edges to avoid cutting?
Double-check: names, phone numbers, emails, web addresses, and physical addresses.
Double-check: spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Are there any missing characters, broken letters, or odd formatting?
Is there any dust, smudges, or unwanted print marks in the file?
Are the colors consistent and placed correctly throughout the document?
If you received a color-accurate proof, do the colors look right?
Are folds, die-cuts, or finishing elements (like foils or embossing) marked and correct?
Did you confirm the paper stock weight and finish?
Helpful Hint: A second set of eyes can make all the difference—ask a colleague or friend to take a look at it too!
